Green Knights Place Second at NACC Championship

RACINE - St. Norbert College, competing in its first championship event in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference, finished second at the 2019 Women's Golf Championship at Meadowbrook Country Club.

The Green Knights traversed the 54-hole tournament with scores of 366-360-355--1,081 to finish 27 strokes behind champion Aurora University's 347-357-350--1,054. Lakeland University was a distant third at 388-375-388--1,151. Lakeland's Ali Wilson was the individual champion with an 83-87-87--257.

Elizabeth Bobinski led St. Norbert by tying for fourth place with an 89-89-86--264, seven strokes behind Wilson. Kayley Sjoholm finished in sixth place with an 87-89-89--265. Taylor Obry finished in 10th place with a 98-90-91--279.

Bree Borgan shared NACC Freshmen of the Year honors with Concordia University Wisconsin's Gabrielle Flocco, with the pair deadlocking in a tie for 11th place. Borgen totaled a 96-96-89--281. Amy Holzer also finished in the 11th place tie, scoring 94-92-95--281.
