St. Norbert College alum, Laura Schwartz to address the Oxford Union

Laura Schwartz, National Political Commentator, Principal of Chicago based White House Strategies and 1995 St. Norbert College alum, has been invited to debate at the prestigious Oxford Union. Laura has accepted this great honor following in the footsteps of former Presidents Regan, Carter and Nixon, Her Majesty the Queen, Mother Teresa, the Dalai Lama and members of the British Parliament. Laura will leave for Oxford from Washington, DC where she will have just covered the Inauguration of the 44th President for the CBS Early Show. The Oxford Union debate will occur on Thursday, January 22nd as a part of a black tie event where she will address the Foreign Policy Legacy of President Bush and how the United States and the Obama Administration could globally influence the problems of terrorism, environmental destruction and communicable diseases.

Laura joined the CBS Early Show in August of 2008 but started her television career at the Fox News Channel in 2004 where she served as their political analyst, joining CNN in the fall of 2007 to cover the primaries Larry King Live before moving to CBS. Prior to her work in television, Laura served eight years in the Clinton Administration where she was named a Special Assistant to the President and The White House Director of Events. Prior to being named The Director of Events in 1997, Laura served as The White House Director of Television and The Midwest Press Secretary for The President.
