St. Norbert College presents "Mystic, Composer, Healer, Abbess Hildegard of Bingen"

St. Norbert College will present lectures on Abbess Hildegard of Bingen on Thursday, Sept 17 at 7 p.m. in the Union Lounge at St. Norbert College. The event will be broken into two lectures. The first lecture will be "Hildegard as Intellectual: The Spiritual and Creative Muse" lead by Edward L. Risden professor of English at St. Norbert College. The second lecture will be "SOUL OF VISION: Hildegard's Music" presented by Sarah Meredith Livingston associate professor of music at University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.

The event is free and open to the public.
Abbess Hildegard of Bingen, a contemporary of St. Norbert, was one of the most extraordinary and creative intellectuals of the twelfth century. The presentations will explore different facets of this remarkable woman's life and work, and her powerful continuing legacy today.
