St. Norbert College hosts FIESTA: A celebration of Hispanic/Latino Cultures

In an effort to educate and increase awareness of, and appreciation for, various Hispanic/Latino cultures, St. Norbert College is hosting its annual celebration of FIESTA: A Celebration of Hispanic/Latino Cultures. The event takes place on Saturday, Oct. 3 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., in the Sensenbrenner Memorial Union on campus. The evening will include hors d'oeuvres and an authentic Hispanic/Latino dinner featuring food from various countries. A dance presentation follows at 7:30 p.m. performed by the Ketzal Coatlicue Aztec Dancers, it will feature traditional Aztec dances. At 8:30 p.m. there will be dancing to music provided by Spanglish. Spanglish is a band from Milwaukee, WI., consisting of 10 members from different countries. They play salsa, merengue, bachata, pop, and Latin jazz, among others.

This event is open to the public. Tickets must be purchased in advance. For tickets please call the St. Norbert College Multicultural Student Services Office at (920) 403-4023. Tickets cost $15 for adults, $12 for St. Norbert students and senior citizens over 65, and $6 for children under 6.
