St. Norbert College to receive state award for lighting project

DE PERE: St. Norbert College will receive a state energy award, Thursday, Nov. 11 at 10:30 a.m., in Schuldes Sports Center. The award recognizes the successful installation of a Wisconsin Focus on Energy project. St. Norbert College applied for and was awarded a Focus on Energy grant of $40,000, the maximum amount awarded. The grant was applied to a $151,000 project to improve lighting technology on campus. The remainder of the project's funds came from private donors. The college has realized an electric utility savings of $2,000 per month. The improvements are:
