John Bruce Organ Concert Series presents Thomas Murray

The John Bruce Organ Concert Series will present organist Thomas Murray on Saturday, March 20, at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Norbert Abbey, located at 1016 N. Broadway St., De Pere, Wis. The concert is open to the public and donations can be given at the door.

Thomas Murray is university organist and professor of music at Yale University, where he has served on the faculty for 28 years and has taught many of today's leading performers. Murray studied at Occidental College and has appeared at six national conventions of the American Guild of Organists, which named him International Artist of the Year for 1986. In 2003, he was named an honorary fellow of the Royal College of Organists in England and in 2005 he was awarded the Gustave Stoeckel Award for excellence in teaching from the Yale University of Music.

The Rev. John Bruce, a priest in the Episcopal Diocese of Fond du Lac, was a close friend of St. Norbert Abbot Sylvester Killeen, O.Praem., and honorary member of the Norbertine order. The memorial concerts were established in his name at St. Norbert Abbey.
