St. Norbert Times to hold Second Annual Journalism Conference

The St. Norbert Times, St. Norbert College's student newspaper, will hold its 2nd Annual Journalism Conference on Saturday, March 6 in the Bemis International Center beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing throughout the day.

The conference will feature a number of journalism professionals presenting on a variety of topics.

The keynote speaker is Amos Gelb, the director of the Semester in Washington Journalism Program at George Washington University. He is a leader in journalism education, including television news programming. His work has appeared on networks including CNN, ABC, and the Discovery Channel.

Other speakers include: Thomas Kunkel, president of St. Norbert College and former dean of the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland; Tom Milbourn, instructor of communication and media studies at St. Norbert; Judy Kluetzman, display advertising manager at the Watertown Daily Times; Victoria Goff, instructor at University of Wisconsin-Green Bay; Kerri Frake, St. Norbert alumna and social media expert; Adi Redzic '09 alum with a focus on newspaper management; and Susan Obadasi '09 alumna.

The conference is $35 and is open to everyone; a discounted rate is available to St. Norbert students. The registration fee also covers a resume critique, lunch, and dinner.
