St. Norbert College will host a multi-day event for theatre managers, faculty, students and others in the college's Walter Theatre at the Abbott Pennings Hall of Fine Arts on Third Street in De Pere.

Tuesday, March 23 will feature a Green Theatre Showcase, with vendors displaying a variety of environmentally friendly innovations for theatres, ranging from energy-efficient lighting systems to low VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) paints and coatings. The showcase will be presented by DesignLab, a leading Midwest provider of lighting systems.

From Monday, March 22 through Wednesday, March 24, DesignLab will also conduct training seminars on various aspects of the widely used Electronic Theater Control lighting consoles.

Seminar times are:

-Introduction to Ion Training: 1-5 p.m. on Monday, March 22.

-Ion Fundamental Training: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23.
-ETC console training: 3-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23.

-Introduction to Element: 9 a.m-12 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24.

The event is open to anyone with an interest in theatre production; high school theatre students and faculty are especially encouraged to attend.

The showcase and all training seminars are free, but registration is required. Space is limited for seminars, so prompt registration is recommended.
