John Hemken, owner and CEO of TBL Business Development, will present "Blue
Ocean Strategy" on Tuesday, May 11, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at F.K. Bemis
International Center on the St. Norbert College campus. This is the final
presentation in the 2009-10 CEO Breakfast and Strategy Series. The series is
sponsored by Grant Thornton LLP and Insight Publications.
TBL Business Development is the parent company of TWH Collectibles, a
Manitowoc firm specializing in high-quality, die-cast replicas used by companies
including Oshkosh Corporation, Pierce Manufacturing and Peterbilt Motors. The
TBL Business Development portfolio also includes the Manitowoc Main Street
complex, a key contributor to the city's downtown revitalization.
Hemken founded TWH Collectibles in 2004, and TBL Business Development in
2007. His presentation will examine his company's success employing the "blue
ocean strategy" in market development, which focuses on the creation of
demand in uncontested markets, free from head-to-head competition.
The registration fee for Hemken's presentation is $60. For more information or to
register, contact St. Norbert College at (920) 403-3166 or e-mail
