Procter & Gamble provided a grant for the Girls Leadership and Development (GLAD) Summer Camp program, which runs July 6 through July 16 from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on the St. Norbert College campus

The camp program is for girls in first through eighth grade and is designed to improve the participants' self-esteem and self-image while building their confidence, developing leadership skills, and fostering healthy body image.

The camp, spearheaded by Deb Kunkel, will be taught by Wisconsin certified young women teachers who have been chosen for their ability to be great role models.

"As a mother of four daughters, I am very aware of the challenges and pressures that girls face today," said Deb Kunkel who is wife of St. Norbert College president Thomas Kunkel. "This summer camp is designed to positively impact the participants by building confidence and leadership skills, fostering positive body image, and setting high-reaching goals."

Scholarships are available to ensure that girls with financial need will be equally able to benefit from the experience.

For more information or to register contact Jamie McGuire at jamie.mcguire@snc.edu or 920-403-3165.

The Girls Leadership and Development Summer Camp is made possible through support from Procter and Gamble, the Girl Scouts of Northwestern Great Lakes region and St. Norbert College.
