Joseph Susag, a junior sociology major at St. Norbert College, has been named a National Fellow by the Pearson Foundation. He will be awarded a $10,000 scholarship over a two-year period.

The Pearson Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Pearson Inc, an international media and education company. The Foundation promotes literacy and learning, and fosters innovation in education. In addition to a scholarship, the Pearson Foundation provides National Fellows unique access to student resources and networking opportunities through Pearson Inc.

Susag, a native of Minneapolis, is one of just twenty scholarship recipients across the country. He will be attending the Pearson Foundation Leadership Summit in Boston this week to receive his award.

"I really feel like I've given my family something to be proud of," says Susag. He plans to use the scholarship to continue his studies and his involvement with the Admission Possible and AmeriCorps VISTA programs at St. Norbert College.
