The St. Norbert College community honored Kelly Krummel, administrative secretary for the humanities and fine arts division, and student Lauren Senour, at the President's Dinner on Aug. 25.

Krummel received the Exceptional Service Award after being nominated by faculty and staff, while Senour earned the college's Employee Endowed Scholarship.

For the past five years, Krummel has dedicated herself to the St. Norbert community through her work in the humanities and fine arts division.

"In addition to performing all of her routine duties with the utmost care and competence, Kelly is proactive in addressing and dealing with many unanticipated issues that arise," President Thomas Kunkel noted on Krummel's nomination.

"Her service and caring extends outside of St. Norbert College as well, as evidenced by the time she volunteers at various functions for her children's schools. Krummel also serves as a Eucharistic Minister at her parish, St. Francis Xavier," Kunkel added.

Senour (Brown Deer, Wis.) earned the $1,000 scholarship for her volunteer work with organizations across the Brown County area, including Cerebral Palsy Inc., The Salvation Army, the American Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity, and Relay for Life. The communications media major is starting her junior year at St. Norbert College and is getting certified independently for personal training. She hopes to combine her major and certification to help others and promote wellness and healthy habits throughout the world.
