The St. Norbert College Mulva Library is working with the Wisconsin Heritage Online (WHO) program to scan, research and share its collection of more than 3,000 historical photographs through the WHO research portal, wisconsinheritage.org. So far, over 1,000 historic images of St. Norbert College can be discovered through the portal, alongside more than 50,000 photographs, artifacts, letters, diaries, books, articles and audio files from libraries, archives, museums and historical societies across the state.

In the summer of 2010, the Mulva Library partnered with WHO to make the scanned photos available online. The photographs, which date from 1899 through 2008, document the people and places connected to St. Norbert College. To explore the full collection, visit content.mpl.org/sncmulva.

Wisconsin Heritage Online is a collaborative program dedicated to improving access to Wisconsin's cultural heritage resources. A statewide network of content providers, including libraries, archives, museums and historical societies both large and small, work with WHO to share their collections in digital form. An outreach and training grant from the Nicholas Family Foundation enables WHO to help Wisconsin's local historical societies and other community organizations contribute their unique materials to this statewide digital resource. The Milwaukee Public Library hosts these local history collections on its web server.

WHO is a collaboration of Wisconsin Library Services, the Wisconsin Historical Society, the Milwaukee Public Library, the Milwaukee Public Museum, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction's Division for Libraries, Technology and Community Learning. For more information, visit wisconsinheritage.org or contact Sally Hansen sally.hansen@snc.edu, head librarian of public services and interim assistant library director at St. Norbert College.
