Winter Bandfest concert at St. Norbert College

The St. Norbert College music department will present the Winter BandFest concert on Sunday, Feb. 20 at 2 p.m. in the Walter Theatre, Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts. Admission is $7 and is open to the public.

The concert will feature the St. Norbert College Wind Ensemble and the High School Honors Band, both directed by Michael Knight, assistant professor of music. The St. Norbert Wind Ensemble will give the world premiere of the work "Dream of Heaven" by St. Norbert College faculty member, Blake Henson, assistant professor of music.

The High School Honor Band consists of 70 of the most talented high school musicians from the Green Bay area. Each student was nominated for the honor band by his or her band director. During the weekend, the high school musicians will take part in rehearsals and master classes with St. Norbert College music faculty in preparation for the Sunday concert.
