The St. Norbert College music department will present the Choral Sacred Music Concert on Sunday, March 6 at 2 p.m. at St. Norbert Abbey, 1016 N. Broadway. Admission is free and open to the public.

The Choral Sacred Music concert is a benefit concert for the Knight Nicolet Reading Program and the SS. Peter and Paul Food Pantry. The public is invited to bring food items or monetary donations to support these charity programs.

The Knight Nicolet Reading Program pairs St. Norbert College students with elementary school children who struggle with dyslexia, assisting with them in comprehension, retention and confidence. The SS. Peter and Paul Food Pantry is coordinated by a Norbertine Volunteer Community member on behalf of the parish. The pantry assists families by providing food collected from neighborhoods surrounding the parish.

The concert will feature the Chamber Singers and Women's Chorus, under the direction of Sarah Parks, assistant professor of music. It will also feature the Men's Chorus, under the direction of Michael Rosewall, associate professor of music. All choirs will be accompanied by Elaine Moss, adjunct instructor of music. Music includes traditional works by Handel, Vaughan Williams, and Tavener and features new composition by St. Norbert College composer and assistant professor of music, Black Henson, and the Catholic composer Father Michael Joncas.
