St. Norbert Community Band celebrates 20 years

The St. Norbert Community Band will celebrate its 20th season with a concert on Monday, March 28 at 7:30 p.m. in the Walter Theater, Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts. Admission is $6 and is open to the public.

The concert will feature works by Holst, Bernstein, Schuman, and Grainger.

The St. Norbert Community Band was founded in 1991 by Fred Schmidt, retired director of bands at St. Norbert College. This season the band celebrates 20 years of performing for the greater St. Norbert community. The band is comprised of musicians from across northeast Wisconsin and is under the direction of Michael Knight, director of bands and assistant professor of music at St. Norbert College.
