The Dudley Birder Chorale of St. Norbert College, following sold-out performances of the annual Holiday Pops and "Music of the Beatles" presented with the Green Bay Symphony, will return to the Weidner stage at 3:30 pm on Sunday, April 3, to perform Carl Orff's universally popular Carmina Burana.

The Chorale will be joined for the occasion by the concert choirs of Notre Dame Academy, Bay Port and Ashwaubenon High Schools and the Green Bay Boy Choir, together forming a mass choir of over 250 singers. Directors of the visiting choirs are Teresa Schmidt, Michael Pufall, Teresa Schroepfer and Randall Mader, respectively.

The concert will be conducted by Dudley Birder and will be accompanied by pianists Elaine Moss and Kent Paulsen, with the extensive percussion roles performed by Green Bay Symphony members Paul Ristau, James Robl and Scott Elford, and St. Norbert College music students Bryanna Moody and Corey Van Epern.

Featured soloists will be baritone Brad Liebl, soprano Courtney Sherman and tenor Justin Berkowitz. Liebl is professor of opera and voice at Johannesburg University, South Africa; Sherman is professor of voice at UW-Green Bay, and Berkowitz is a recent graduate of Lawrence University.

Carmina Burana holds the distinction as the most often performed secular choral work, worldwide. Its familiar percussive, melodious and dramatic themes are often used as background music in movies, television and commercials, accounting in part for its continuous popularity.

Adult and student tickets for Carmina Burana are now available by calling Ticket Star at 920-494-3401 or 800-895-0071 or they can be purchased online at ticketstaronline.com.
