Wisconsin Harmony Chamber Chorale to perform "The Maryhill Canticles"

The Wisconsin Harmony Chamber Chorale will perform "The Maryhill Canticles" on Friday, April 15 at 7 p.m. at the Notre Dame Academy Chapel in west Green Bay and on Saturday, April 16 at 7 p.m. at Old Saint Joseph's Church on the St. Norbert College campus. Admission is free and open to the public. Doors open at 6:15 p.m.

"The Maryhill Canticles" was composed in 2010 by Joseph G. Smeall and has received the Eric Edward Sundquist Prize for New Music Composition from the Amherst College faculty at Amherst College in Amherst, Mass. "The Maryhill Canticles" is based on the Liturgy of the Hours. Smeall is a part-time student at St. Norbert College. He graduated from Amherst College in 2010.

The Wisconsin Harmony Chamber Chorale includes local musicians and music teachers, current St. Norbert College music majors and faculty members, veterans of the Green Bay Chamber Choir and graduates of the Lawrence Music Conservatory.
