St. Norbert College Women's Enrichment Series features Michael Marsden

Michael Marsden, professor of English American studies and media studies; dean of the college and academic vice president, will speak as a part of the St. Norbert College Women's Enrichment series on Thursday, April 21, at noon in the Hendrickson Dining Room of the F.K. Bemis International Center on the college campus. Marsden will speak on "The Automobile and American Culture."
Marsden, a nationally recognized expert in the field of popular culture, has been at St. Norbert College since 2003. As well as being one of the founders and co-editor of the Journal of Popular Film and Television, he has co-edited ten books as well as authoring and co-authoring more than 60 scholarly articles. Marsden was a columnist in Motor Trend magazine and has been widely quoted in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post and Time.
Marsden received his Bachelor's degree in English from DePaul University, Master's degree in English from Purdue University and Ph.D. in English from Bowling Green State University. He specializes in film, western literature, regional culture and popular entertainments. The Women's Enrichment Series is a series of lunch presentations featuring St. Norbert College faculty and staff speakers on topics of interest. The cost for individual sessions, which includes lunch, is $18. With limited space for the events, early reservations are encouraged.
