Army ROTC Cadets commissioned as officers at St. Norbert College

The following St. Norbert College students will be commissioned as second lieutenants in the United States Army during ceremonies to be held in the Fort Howard Theater, Bemis International Center, Saturday, May 14, at 5 p.m.

- Art Bell of Lombard, Ill., will be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army active duty as an ordnance officer. He will serve as a platoon tactical officer at the Leader Development and Assessment Course at Fort Lewis, Wash., this summer before attending his Basic Officer Leaders Course at Fort Lee, Va. Upon successful completion of the Basic Officer Leaders Course, he will be assigned as a platoon leader in the 1st Armored Division, Fort Bliss, Texas.

- Claire Michaels of Fitchburg, Wis., will be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army active duty as an intelligence officer. She will serve as a platoon tactical officer at the Leader Development and Assessment Course at Fort Lewis, Wash., this summer before attending her Basic Officer Leaders Course at Fort Huachuca, Ariz.. Upon successful completion of the Basic Officer Leaders Course, she will be assigned to Fort Knox, Ky.

- Shane Murray of Chicago, Ill., will be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army active duty as a field artillery officer. He will serve as a platoon tactical officer at the Leader Development and Assessment Course at Fort Lewis, Wash, this summer before attending his Basic Officer Leaders Course at Fort Sill, Okla. Upon successful completion of the Basic Officer Leaders Course, he will be assigned to Fort Knox, Ky.

- Brenda Peterson of Fond du Lac, Wis., will be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Wisconsin Army National Guard as a medical services officer. Upon successful completion of her Basic Officer Leaders Course at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, she will be assigned to the 135th Medical Company, Waukesha, Wis.
- John Riemer of Elcho, Wis., will be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army active duty as a field artillery officer. Upon commissioning, he will attend his Basic Officer Leaders Course at Fort Sill, Okla.
