Three St. Norbert College students awarded national study abroad scholarship

St. Norbert College students Devan Scherer, Alyssa Wolan and Bojan Francuz have received scholarships to study abroad.
Scherer, a junior from Two Rivers, Wis., and Wolan, a junior from Kenosha, Wis., were each awarded the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship in the amounts of $2,500 and $4,500, respectively. About 2,300 other students nationally received funds from the scholarship.

The scholarship is designed to prepare U.S. students for an increasingly global economy and interdependent world, while counteracting the financial difficulties of undertaking a semester abroad. The scholarship program is funded by congress, sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, and administered by the Institute of International Education.
