The hit Broadway musical "Man of La Mancha" will kick off Music Theatre's 50th Anniversary season, sponsored by Baylake Bank, when it opens Friday, June 17, in the St. Norbert College Webb Theatre.

Featuring a veteran cast of 25 performers, "Man La Mancha" relates a classic tale of adventure and love. Its familiar musical score is highlighted by "The Impossible Dream."

Heading the cast in the title role of Don Quixote, Man of LaMancha, will be Mark Silverberg, who recently returned to Green Bay following an opera career in New York City. Joseph Smeall, from Green Bay, Wis., will appear as the barber, and the muleteers will be played by Justin Mrotek, from Manitowoc, Wis.; Francis Beaumier, from De Pere, Wis.; Theodore Terrell, from De Pere, Wis.; and Chris Fugelstad, from Green Bay, Wis. The show will run through June 30, with nine performances.

In addition, Music Theatre's second production, "The Phantom of the Opera," will be presented ten times in late July and early August. Additional help is needed working backstage on costumes, make-up, props and performance running crew. Those interested in working backstage can contact Dudley Birder at 920-403-3116 or dudley.birder@snc.edu.
