St. Norbert College Music Theatre announces cast for "The Phantom of the Opera"

The cast of St. Norbert College Music Theatre's forthcoming 50th Anniversary production of "The Phantom of the Opera," sponsored by Baylake Bank, will feature 39 singers, dancers and actors selected from among the 98 people who, earlier this month, auditioned for roles in the Andrew Lloyd Webber hit musical.

Veteran Music Theatre performer Chad Lemerande (Green Bay) will appear in the title role, along with Mari Alta Bakken (Jupiter, Florida) as Christine and Nathan Plummer (Green Bay) as Raoul. Other major roles include Alicia Birder (Green Bay), Carlotta; Michael Barber (De Pere), Piangi; Linda Feldmann (Appleton), Madam Giry; Michael Ajango (De Pere) and Steve Oswald (Kewaunee), Monsieurs Firmin and Andre respectively; and Parker Drew (Milwaukee) playing both Monsieur Reyer and the Auctioneer.

Featured in supporting roles will be Keith Lutz (Green Bay), Mark Jackson (De Pere), Sharon Johnson (Hortonville), Carly Robinson (Cherry Hill, NJ), Aaron Reynolds (Aurora, Illinois) and Alex Sabin (De Pere). Dancers in the musical are Anna Allen (Oshkosh), Ana Bakken (Jupiter, Florida), Abigail Kinchloe (Green Bay), Kate Mann (Green Bay), Maria Macco (Green Bay) and Christine Sarosiek (Green Bay).

The singing chorus includes: Jeremiah Cottreu (Seymour), Chris Fugelstad (Green Bay), Norm Johnson (Sturgeon Bay), Matthew Kashdan (Green Bay), Brandon Ponschock (Appleton), Rob Riordan (Green Bay) and Michael Robinson (Green Bay). Also, Janet Ajango (De Pere), Courtney Holly (Manitowoc), Delaney Gilliam (Green Bay), Ann Gray (De Pere), Sallie Harrigan (De Pere), Annette Johnsrud (Green Bay), Heidi Schmitz (Appleton), Carolyn Silverberg (New York, NY) and Charice Twardy (Shawano).

"The Phantom of the Opera," directed by James P. Birder, with musical direction by Dudley Birder and choreography by Mari Alta Bakken, will play ten performances in the St. Norbert College's Walter Theatre, July 28 through August 7.
