St. Norbert College Brad Liebl Alumni Vocal Recital

The St. Norbert College music department presents Brad Liebl on Tuesday, Nov. 8, at 7:30 p.m. in the Walter Theatre, Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts on the St. Norbert College campus. Admission is free and open to the public. There will be a reception in the lobby following the recital.

Liebl is a St. Norbert College alumnus, class of 1970, performing works by Alessandro Scarlatti, Alessandro Stradella, Felix Mendelssohn, Gustav Mahler, Claude Debussy, Franz Liszt, W.A. Mozart, G. Menotti, Gioacchino Rossini, Aaron Copland, Stephen Foster, John Kander, Stephen Sondheim, and Jules Styme.

Liebl completed his doctoral studies in musical performance at the University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music. He has become well known throughout South Africa as an interpreter of operatic leading roles, art songs and oratorios. In Germany, Liebl has sung operettas and lieder, and in the United States he continues to feature as a principal performer in oratorios and operas. He is currently an associate professor of classical voice at the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
