Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. announces St. Norbert alum, Jason Sanders, among 2011 Fellowship in Law recipients

Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. is proud to announce its 2011 Fellowship in Law Recipients: Jason D. Sanders at the University of Wisconsin and Christopher K. Flowers at Marquette University.
The Fellowship in Law program was established as part of the firm's ongoing diversity initiative and is designed to continue to promote diversity within the student body of the law schools. The program provides a full, three-year scholarship to one student at the University of Wisconsin Law School and one student at Marquette University Law School. In addition to tuition, recipients are also offered mentoring from Godfrey & Kahn attorneys, as well as a position as a summer associate at the firm. The selection of fellowship recipients is mutually determined by Godfrey & Kahn and the participating universities.
Sanders is the eighth recipient of the Fellowship in Law at the University of Wisconsin Law School. He graduated from St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wis., with a Bachelor's degree in Humanities. While attending St. Norbert College, he was awarded the John F. Kennedy and Diversity Leadership scholarships. Prior to starting law school, Sanders was Assistant to the Academic Dean at Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe Community College in Hayward, Wis., where he taught classes and managed a National Science Foundation program. Sanders will receive his Master's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies this summer from Western New Mexico University in Silver City, N.M.
Flowers is the sixth recipient of the Fellowship in Law at Marquette University Law School. He graduated from State University of New York (SUNY) at Albany with a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Rhetoric and a Master's degree in Political Communications. Prior to starting law school, Flowers worked for both the New York State Senate and the Speaker of the New York State Assembly.
