Reid Riggle, associate professor of education at St. Norbert College, and his students will participate in the Youth-to-Youth Service Program: Village Project with the Green Bay Area Public School District.

Forty students from St. Norbert College will travel to five different elementary schools and one middle school over the course of six weeks this semester.

The goal of the program is to help St. Norbert College students apply academic knowledge to community needs, reflect on their capacity to serve as change agents in education, work with community partners to close the academic achievement gap, understand and value the perspectives of peers, community partners and students, and identify personal strengths and weaknesses to formulate strategies for improvement.

The program also aims to help Green Bay-area students receive quality academic support, learn from positive role models and gain perspective on higher education.
