St. Norbert College mock trial team qualifies for national competition

The St. Norbert College mock trial team tied for third overall at the 2012 Upper Midwest Durst Memorial Regional Tournament, qualifying for the Opening Round Championship at the Mock Trial National Tournament in Waukegan, Ill. March 9--11. The 2012 Upper Midwest Durst Memorial Regional Tournament took place from Feb. 10--12 and St. Norbert College competed against 30 other schools from across the Midwest. Macalaster College's A-team won the tournament and St. Norbert tied for third with UW-Superior.
The St. Norbert College team is coached by Charley Jacobs, assistant professor of political science, Judge Marc Hammer, Bret Liebman and Tricia Nell, attorneys with the Green Bay firm of Liebmann, Conway, Olejniczak & Jerry, S.C. Liebman is a member of the firm's litigation and family law departments. Nell is a shareholder in the firm's litigation department and is a 1997 graduate of St. Norbert College.
Team members include Carina Rice (Kaukauna, Wis.), Leah Tabbert (Appleton, Wis.), Stephanie Ransom (Neenah, Wis.), Thomas McNamee (Escanaba, Mich.), Jay Lonick (Shawano, Wis.), Brian Anhalt (West Bend, Wis.), Robin Wabalickis (Kenosha, Wis.), Larissa Dallman (De Pere, Wis.), Kaitlyn Bunker (Green Bay, Wis.), Alyssa Kempke (Green Bay, Wis.), Janelle Krummen (Lodi, Wis.) and Austin Plier (Port Washington, Wis.).
Krummen was also among ten students at the competition who received an award for Best Witness.
