The St. Norbert College Music Department will present the Choral Masterworks Concert on Sunday, March 4, at 2 p.m. in the Walter Theatre, Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts. Admission is $6 and open to the public. All tickets for events held in Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts are subject to a $1.00 per ticket Facility Fee. The concert will feature the St. Norbert College Chamber Singers, directed by Sarah Parks, assistant professor of music, the St. Norbert Abbey Singers, directed by Rev. Michael Frisch, O. Praem, the St. Norbert Men's Chorus, directed by Michael Rosewall, assistant professor of music, and the St. Norbert Women's Chorus, directed by Parks. The choirs will be accompanied on piano by Elaine Moss, instructor of music, on flute by Kortney James, adjunct assistant professor of music, on oboe by Andrea Gross-Hixon, adjunct assistant professor of music, on horn by Adrew Parks and vocal accompaniment by Yi-Lan Niu, assistant professor of music.

The concert's showcase piece will be John Rutter's composition of the "Magnificat." The "Magnificat" is one of the eight most ancient Christian hymns and is traditionally sung in Christian church services. Rutter's version expands on the original text to create a unique choral experience.
