St. Norbert College alumna Amie Arnoldussen will be presented with the Governor's Service Recognition Award: Americorps*VISTA Participant of the Year Honoree on Thursday, March 15, at 10 a.m. during the Wisconsin National and Community Service Board meeting in Madison, Wis.

The Governor's Service Recognition Award: Americorps*VISTA Participant of the Year Honoree is presented to a VISTA member (or VISTA program) who, over the course of the year, has made significant contributions to Wisconsin through efforts to fight poverty.

Arnoldussen is serving her second year in the Americorps*VISTA program. Her work has helped engage students at St. Norbert College with elementary students in the Green Bay area. She has worked to communicate St. Norbert College's message that higher education is attainable for anyone who wants it, by developing a mentorship program pairing St. Norbert students with local third graders, many of whom are living in poverty.
For more information on the award, contact Susan Angoli at susan.angoli@snc.edu or 920-403-3374.
