Horst, Uphill and Carroll student recitals at St. Norbert College

The St. Norbert College music department will present the saxophone recital of Carolyn Horst and vocal recital of Carli Uphill on Friday, March 30 at 3 p.m. and the vocal recital of David Carroll at 5 p.m. in the Walter Theater, Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts. Admission is free and open to the public.

Horst, from Hartford, Wis., is a student of Marc Jimos, adjunct instructor of music. She will perform works by A. Desenclos, Jane Brockman and Eugene Bozza.

Uphill, from New Franken, Wis., is a student of Michael Rosewall, associate professor of music. She will perform works by W.A. Mozart, Joaquin Rodrigo, Engelbert Humperdinck, Gabriel Fauré and Vincenzo Bellini.

Horst and Uphill will combine their talents for the final song of the recital, "Don't Get Around Much Anymore" by Duke Ellington and Bob Russell.

Carroll, from De Pere, Wis., is a student of Bethany Thier, adjunct instructor of music, and Blake Henson, assistant professor of music. Carroll will perform for half of the recital, while the other half will feature St. Norbert students performing his original compositions.
