Betsy Mitchell, former vice-president of organizational and staff development for the Green Bay Packers, will be the keynote speaker at St. Norbert College's 14th annual Phenomenal Woman Conference on Saturday, April 14 from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in the ballroom of the new Michels Commons on the college campus.

Throughout her time with the Packers (1993-2011), Mitchell was, and continues to be, heavily involved in the community, and has received recognition for her hard work and achievements. Mitchell retired from her position with the Packers in January of this year, but continues to serve the community. Mitchell is interested in human relationships and how they influence our lives; she has dedicated her time to helping people better understand these relationships through her independent leadership and consulting firm, Mitchell Management Consulting.  Mitchell will share her journey, from her beginnings living with her six brothers and sisters, through her transition from nursing to her involvement with the Packers, to the loss of her husband to colon cancer, the foundation of Mitchell Management Consulting and her continuous involvement in community service.

The Phenomenal Woman Conference focuses on celebrating, advocating, supporting and empowering women, and includes: lunch; Mitchell's keynote presentation; interactive workshops; vendor exhibits; gifts and raffles; and a performance by the Tammy Ann Winn, an award-winning, internationally touring singer/songwriter and recording artist, during lunch.

Workshops include: Hall of Fame Habits: Staying Fit Through the Generations; Leadership Through Laughter; Women Practicing Social Justice; Lessons My Mother Never Taught Me; Re-Defining the F-Word: It's Okay to Say Feminist; Claiming Quiet: Exploring Paths for Meditation; The Phenomenal Woman in My Life (men's panel); Empowering Women through Education; and Soul Food:The Spirituality of Breaking Bread Together.

The cost of the event is $40 for community members, $20 for St. Norbert staff/faculty, and $10 for students.
