Former Packers General Manager Ron Wolf, former Packers president Bob Harlan and "Voice of the Packers" Wayne Larrivee will take part in "A Mirror of Our Culture: Sport and Society in America," a May conference for academics and business professionals jointly presented by St. Norbert College and the Green Bay Packers. Wolf and Harlan will be a part of a sports panel that will discuss "Resurrecting a Downtrodden Team: The Green Bay Packers From Post-Lombardi Famine to Model NFL Franchise." The moderator of the panel will be long-time sportswriter Cliff Christl.

Larrivee will speak on the opening night of the conference about his experiences with the Packers and will also emcee events throughout the conference.

The conference registration is $195 per person and includes attendance at conference sessions and keynotes (all three days), all meals and breaks, Lambeau Field and Hall of Fame Tours, gallery admission and reception, published 2010 conference anthology and film screenings.

To maintain an intimate atmosphere, total registration at the conference will be limited to 200 registrants. Preference will be given to those giving papers and presentations. Since registration is now open, we recommend registering early.
Conference registration will close on or before April 20. Go to http://bit.ly/GFBHQP to register.

Others presenting at the conference include Bud Selig, commissioner of Major League Baseball, and George Bodenheimer, executive chairman of ESPN, Inc.

This is the second conference of its kind put on by St. Norbert College and the Green Bay Packers. The first was held in 2010. This partnership between an NFL team and an institution of higher education brings together academics and business professionals from around the country.

The Packers have held their summer training camp at St. Norbert College for 54 years, the longest such relationship between a pro football team and a college in the NFL.

For more information, contact Karen Cleereman, conference administrative coordinator, at sportandsociety@snc.edu or (920) 403-3777. For a schedule of events go to http://www.snc.edu/sportandsociety/2012/schedule.html.

The conference is sponsored by International Sports Professionals Association (ISPA) and Center for Ethical Youth Coaching (CEYC).
