Blake Henson named to 50 most influential music professors on Twitter list

Blake Henson, assistant professor of music at St. Norbert College, has been named one of the most influential music professors on Twitter by OnlineDegrees.com. Henson was chosen along with 49 other music professionals from around the world for their college affiliation and the quality of their tweets.

Henson, along with the others on the list, utilize their Twitter feeds to offer encouragement to aspiring musicians and composers, as well as offering tips on technique and instrumentation. The list included current and former professors as well as recording professionals, DJs and artist representatives.

Henson holds a bachelor's and master's degree in music theory and composition from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey, as well as the degree Doctor of Musical Arts in composition from The Ohio State University. Henson is a member of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), Society for Music Theory (SMT), Society of Composers, Inc. (SCI), and the American Society for Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP).
