St. Norbert College hires Chief Information Officer

St. Norbert College has announced the hiring of Raechelle Clemmons as its new chief information officer (CIO) effective July 15.

Clemmons comes to St. Norbert from Menlo College in Atherton, Calif., where she held the same position. Prior to joining Menlo, she was the director of information technology relationship management and project services at California State University, East Bay.

"Raechelle is a great communicator who believes information technology must have strong collaborative relationships with all the other divisions and departments on campus," said St. Norbert president Thomas Kunkel. "She's also a very strategic thinker. We're very excited to have her join the St. Norbert College leadership team."

As chief information officer at St. Norbert, Clemmons will build, sustain and lead the college-wide information technology programs and assume overall responsibility for implementation of mission-critical enhancements and initiatives in the I.T. area. An area of focus for Clemmons will be enhancing the role technology plays in support of teaching and learning on a liberal arts campus.
Clemmons has 19 years of managerial experience leading people and projects in organizations of all sizes, including eight years in higher education. Her career path has included leadership positions in I.T. and marketing, sales and communications. An avid blogger and active Twitter user, Clemmons shares that information technology teams can never communicate enough.
"I'm passionate about technology and the potential it holds to enhance and improve our teaching and learning, organizations, and lives in amazing and powerful ways," says Clemmons. "I look forward to sharing this passion with the St. Norbert community."

She is a 2009 Frye Leadership Institute Fellow and holds a bachelor's degree in political science, with an option in public affairs and administration, from Cal State East Bay, and is ITIL v.3 Foundations certified.
