Desert Veterans of Wisconsin Looking for Marchers

The Desert Veterans of Wisconsin would like to extend an open invitation to our brothers and sisters in arms to join us in the De Pere Kiwanis Memorial Day Parade. While our group is focused on vets of the more current era, ALL veterans are encouraged to join us. We will be led by our honorary member, 94 year old Steve Arbes, a WWII veteran who served in North Africa, as we march in honor of those that cannot be with us that day.
All honorably discharged veterans are welcome, of any era, or those still on active or reserve duty. If you choose to march, you are encouraged to wear whatever uniform you may have worn during your service, or appropriate civilian attire. We also welcome those that may not be able to march, and have plenty of space for them to ride on vehicles.
We plan to meet at Voyageur Park in De Pere at 0900 hours or in front of West De Pere High School at 0930 on Memorial Day. A bus will be boarding at 0900 at Voyageur, to take you to the starting point, and a Veterans Ceremony will take place at the end of the parade at Celebrate De Pere (at Voyageur Park) for those that wish to stick around.
