Zaccary Haney, a St. Norbert College senior from Cambria, Wis., was awarded the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship in the amount of $3,000.
Recipients must apply the award toward eligible study abroad costs, such as program tuition, international airfare, local transportation, books, and room and board.

The scholarship's design is to prepare U.S. students for an increasingly global economy and interdependent world, while counteracting the financial difficulties of undertaking a semester abroad. The scholarship program is congressionally funded, sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, and is administered by the Institute of International Education.

Haney plans to study abroad at John Cabot University in Rome, Italy in the fall of 2012.

For more information, contact Jeremy Doughty, study abroad advisor at St. Norbert College. He can be reached at Jeremy.doughty@snc.edu or 920-403-3433.
