St. Norbert College first-year students will partake in a day of community service, "Into the Streets," on Saturday, August 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The kick-off rally will be held on the college's Main Hall lawn. Following the rally, community service will be performed in approximately 25 different locations, both on- and off-campus, with 400-
500 students, alumni, faculty and staff participating.

"Into the Streets" encourages participants to become active in their surrounding communities through service and action. Its primary goal is to orient new students to the area and forge ties with the community. Service is a founding principle of the Norbertine Order and St. Norbert College; last year, over 300 students, faculty and staff volunteered over 600 hours of service to the community.

This day of service is organized by the St. Norbert College office of Leadership, Student Engagement, and First Year Experience with the support of the Sturzl Center for Community Service and Learning and the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations.

For more information, contact the Office of Leadership, Student Engagement, and First Year Experience at 920- 403-4023.
