The original play, "Roseannkenstein: The Ballad of Roseanne As Told By Frankenstein's Monster," written, produced and directed by St. Norbert College alumni, will feature two additional St. Norbert College alumni as actors. The play will make its stage debut on Friday, Oct. 19, with additional performances on Saturday, Oct. 20, Friday, Oct. 26, and Saturday, Oct. 27, at 7:30 p.m. at the Gorilla Tango Theatre in Skokie, Ill. Tickets are $15.00 and can be purchased online at www.gorillatango.com.

The play is written and produced by alum Seth Wanta of Stevens Point, Wis., St. Norbert class of 2010, and directed by Marla Jacob of Aurora, Ill., class of 2010. It features performers Kevin O'Connell, Des Plaines, Ill., class of 2010, and Stephen Schumacher of Green Bay, Wis., class of 2011.

"Roseannkenstein" combines Mary Shelley's classic "Frankenstein" with the American sitcom "Roseanne" in an original horror comedy.

"What I love about Roseannkenstein is that it is a completely new piece created by an alumni, and that several other alumni are taking part in it as well," said Rupsch, associate professor of theatre studies and director of theatre at St. Norbert College. "Not only are our students adding to the Chicago theatre scene by acting and directing productions, but they are also creating new opportunities for everyone. I also love that some of these students were in our production of 'Frankenstein,' so I fancy that experience helped pave the way for this one."
