St. Norbert College Distinguished Lecture Series Line-Up Announced

St. Norbert College will take part in a series of lectures that begin Saturday, Jan. 19 and will run through Saturday, March 2. These lectures will be presented by St. Norbert College faculty members and will focus on a variety of social, political and cultural issues. The lectures are held at the Door Community Auditorium in Fish Creek and are free and open to the public. All lectures will start at 9 a.m.

The lecture schedule is as follows:

Saturday, Jan. 19, Wendy Scattergood on "Presidential Campaign 2012"
Saturday, Jan. 26, Tom Bolin on "The Wrath of Achilles/The Will of Zeus: The Epics of Homer" (The office of alumni and parent relations from St. Norbert College will be joining Bolin and serving complimentary coffee and breakfast rolls beginning at 8:30 a.m.)
Saturday, Feb. 9, Wayne Patterson on "Recent Trends in Chinese Politics"
Saturday, Feb. 23, Mara Brecht on "Miraculous Beginnings: Examining the Birth Narratives of the Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad"
Saturday, March 2, Jim Hodgson on "Climate Change and the Upper Mid-West"
