St. Norbert College Language Services and the National Railroad Museum will present "Global Railroading Experience" in three parts, on Jan.10, 17 and 24 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The Thursday workshops will take place at the National Railroad Museum, located at 2285 South Broadway, Green Bay.

"Global Railroading Experience" will explore the development and history of railroading in a progression beginning with a global perspective and concluding with Green Bay and Northeast Wisconsin. Bob Lettenberger, education director of the National Railroad Museum, will discuss the origin of railroading and how rail transportation came onto the world scene. Discussions will also include significant benchmarks in U.S. railroading, a look into the first railroads of Wisconsin and the coming of the iron horse to Green Bay.

The cost of the event is $75, which includes the series of three nights and admission to the museum. Due to limited seating, registration and payments must be made by Jan. 4. For more information and to register, call 920-403-4075 or visit http://www.snc.edu/languageservices.
