DE PERE: Tom Hamilton, president of The Dudley Birder Chorale Board, announced today that the Chorale has expanded its 2005-2006 season from three concerts to four with the addition of a special Palm Sunday Concert at the Weidner Center on April 9. The traditional All Saints Day Concert will open the season on November 1 at St. Norbert College with a performance in the Walter Theater of Requiem in D by W.A. Mozart. The Chorale last performed this most famous of Mozart's compositions at Carnegie Hall in 1993. The concert will also include two shorter Mozart pieces: the famous Ave Verum and Gloria from his 12th Mass as well as John Rutter's Psalm 23. The Chorale will perform with the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra for its annual Holiday Pops December 9 and 10 at the Weidner Center with Dudley Birder conducting. The Pops concert will again feature the children from The Performers Workshop, directed by Alicia Birder. Two separate programs are scheduled for April. Theodore DuBois' The Seven Last Words of Christ will be presented at the Weidner Center on Palm Sunday, April 9. Saturday evening, April 28 the Chorale will return to the Weidner Center to perform America Sings: A Gospel, Musical Theater and Patriotic Journey. Each year the chorale welcomes new members.
