The Dudley Birder Chorale will perform "A John Rutter Festival" on Palm Sunday, March 24, at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Saint Norbert Abbey, 1016 N. Broadway, De Pere, Wis. The event is free and open to the public. Donations are welcome.

The chorale will fill the abbey church with John Rutter's "Gloria," accompanied by a nine-piece symphonic brass ensemble and Jeffrey Verkuilen at the abbey organ. The program will also include Rutter's "Psalm 150", "May the Lord Bless and Keep You" and other popular Rutter works.

Since 1974, the Dudley Birder Chorale of St. Norbert College has set a standard of choral excellence in its performance of great choral masterworks. The chorale's membership ranges in age from 17 through seniors, and members come from over 30 communities in northeast Wisconsin. Named for its dynamic founder, Dudley Birder, known to many as Green Bay's "Music Man," the chorale builds upon a long and distinguished tradition of choral music at St. Norbert College.
