Ganoni and Wernicke of Humana to Speak at St. Norbert College CEO Breakfast

Jerry Ganoni, president, Small Business and Specialty Benefits at Humana and Mark Wernicke, vice president of Humana, will present "Healthcare Reform: Its Impact on Employers" as part of St. Norbert College's CEO Breakfast and Strategy Series, on Tuesday, March 26, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at F.K. Bemis International Center, on the St. Norbert College campus. The session is sponsored by Humana.

Jerry Ganoni joined Employers Health Insurance in 1990 as vice president of marketing, becoming their vice president of specialty products in 1993. Upon the acquisition of Employers Health Insurance by Humana in 1996, Ganoni was instrumental in the creation of Humana Dental Insurance Company, becoming its president in 2000. Humana Specialty Benefits is one of the top 10 largest specialty organizations in the country. In 2005, Jerry assumed additional responsibilities as the leader of Humana's Small Business segment.

Mark Wernicke joined Humana's actuarial team in 1994 and was promoted to vice president & chief actuary of the Small Business division in 2000. His role expanded in 2005, as the chief operating officer for the Small Business line, to include strategic planning and project management, underwriting, actuarial, finance, product development, network, medical management and information technology oversight, plus competitive information coordination. Since 2009, Wernicke has been focusing on the strategic and business implications arising from national health care reform across all of Humana's commercial business lines.

The CEO Breakfast and Strategy Series is an outreach to the business community by the Office of the President at St. Norbert College, featuring presentations by distinguished local, regional and national business leaders.
