St. Norbert College Language Services will present an American Sign Language workshop on Saturday, April 6, 9 a.m.-noon in the Bemis International Center on the St. Norbert College campus. The workshop is $30 per person and is open to the entire community.

Certified American Sign Language teacher Ann Blainski will lead the workshop. Blainski has degrees in sign language interpreting, teaching American Sign Language, special education and elementary education. She earned a master's degree in education from Marian University and has been interpreting for the deaf community for more than twenty years.

This workshop offers a glimpse into deaf culture and sign language. Blainski will teach how to sign the alphabet, basic words and phrases in American Sign Language and help form a better understanding of what it is like to be deaf in America.

Registrations and payments for the workshop must be received by March 29.

For information and to register, visit http://www.snc.edu/languageservices or call 920-403-4075.
