Vladislav Bláha to Perform at St. Norbert College

Internationally renowned Czech guitarist Vladislav Bláha will perform at St. Norbert College on Tuesday, April 16, at 7 p.m. The concert will take place at Old St. Joseph Church on the St. Norbert College campus and is free and open to the public.

Bláha attended the F. Liszt College of Music in Weimar, Germany, and the Brno Conservatory in the Czech Republic. He is now a professor at the conservatory, and is also an associate professor of guitar at the Janacek Academy of Music and president of the Czech Classical Guitar Society. Bláha is the winner of four international competitions and has given concerts in prestigious halls in 35 countries throughout Europe, Asia, South America and North America.

He will perform works by Vivaldi, Morel, Duarte and more.

St. Norbert College has strong ties to the Czech Republic; St. Norbert of Xanten is buried there.
