Language Services at St. Norbert College to Offer April Workshops, Classes

St. Norbert College Language Services will hold the following events this April for the general public:

Taking Tea with Trains: Saturday, April 20, 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the National Railroad Museum, 2285 S. Broadway, Green Bay. Participants will spend Saturday morning on the National Railroad Museum's Silver Spirit car while sipping teas and learning about unique ways to use tea in cooking. The Attic's Bill Macier will take students through the global history of tea, including the role of tea during the heyday of railroad dining. He will also demonstrate using tea to flavor meats and create tea-based scones. The event is $40 per person and includes instruction, food and materials. Register by April 13.

Wedding Customs Around the World: Tuesday, April 23, 6-8 p.m. at Seize the Day Events, 1541 Bellevue St., Green Bay. Event planner, certified wedding professional and professional bridal consultant Katie Hess will discuss traditional wedding apparel, ceremonies and symbolism from around the world. The event is $30 per person. Register by April 16.

Latin Dance Class: Thursday, April 25, 5:30-8 p.m. at Michels Commons Ballroom on the St. Norbert College campus. Jairo and Amanda Huiliar will teach participants how to dance the merengue, mambo, rumba, tango and various waltzes in this one-night class. Jairo will also demonstrate the Colombian salsa. The event is $30 per person. No dance experience or partner required. Register by April 18.
