Zimmer Thomson, a distributor of orthopaedic solutions throughout Wisconsin, Iowa, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, will host the first ever Wounded Warrior vs. Packer and NFL Alumni Flag Football Challenge at St. Norbert College Schneider Stadium on August 10 at 6 p.m. At this charitable event, the Wounded Warriors Amputee Football Team will take on a squad of former NFL Green Bay Packers in friendly competition. All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Wounded Warrior Amputee Football Team, a non-profit 501(c) (3) disability advocacy and support group organization.

The Wounded Warrior Amputee Football Team is composed of U.S. military service members living with disabilities after losing limbs in the combat zones of Iraq and Afghanistan. Leading the Packer and NFL Alumni team will be five-time All-Pro offensive lineman Jerry Kramer, and Dave Robinson, 2013 inductee into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Also joining the team are Don Beebe, Ahman Green, Chris Jacke, Bill Schroeder, Harry Sydney, Randy Wright and many other Green Bay Packer and NFL stars. There will be a free photo opportunity and autograph session prior to the start of the game, as well as a prize raffle, including a trip for two to San Francisco to attend the opening game of the Green Bay Packers 2013 NFL season.

"St Norbert College is proud to be able to host this game to honor our nation's veterans," said president Thomas Kunkel. "Their spirit is an inspiration to us all and we encourage everyone to come out, have some fun and honor these courageous troops."

Advanced tickets are available at Cold Stone Creamery, 2101 South Oneida Street in Green Bay. Tickets will also be available at Schneider Stadium the day of the event beginning at 5 p.m. Admission to the game is $10 for adults; children under 12 are free.
"All of us here at Zimmer Thomson are honored to sponsor these Wounded Warriors who have so heroically served this nation," said Fritz Thomson, President of Zimmer Thomson. "With this great event we hope to pay tribute to our troops and raise awareness for their sacrifice. After overcoming the physical and emotional scars of battle, these brave men and women truly embody the resilience of the human spirit and athletic competition."

Zimmer Thomson headquarters have been based in Wisconsin for over four decades, and in that time the company has supported numerous local and regional charities. The Thomson family encourages every Green Bay Packer fan, and every fan of America's heroes, to join them at St. Norbert College Schneider Stadium on August 10th.
