St. Norbert College To Host Nihon University of Japan for Symposium

St. Norbert College will host Japan's Nihon University-Mishima (the National University of Japan) for a two-day symposium on Thursday, Sept. 26, and Friday, Sept. 27, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Fort Howard Theater for discussions on global issues, particularly as they relate to Japan and the United States. The symposium is free and open to the public.

There will be presenters from both Nihon University and St. Norbert. This joint venture takes place every two or three years, with groups of faculty meeting at St. Norbert or at Nihon University to present papers and discuss issues.
Professors from Nihon will arrive on Wednesday, Sept. 25, and stay through Sunday, Sept. 29. Presentations will be Thursday and Friday, 10-4 p.m. Saturday is reserved for sightseeing and personal interaction.
During the conference, visitors from Japan will have several opportunities to tour campus, visit classes and meet with faculty. In addition, student organizations will be involved in many of the symposium, activities.
