St. Norbert College will present a performance of Still Point Theatre Collective's "Living Water: The Story of Gabriel the Archangel Church." The performance will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 6:30 p.m. in the Walter Theatre of the Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts on the St. Norbert College campus. The performance is free and open to the public.

"Living Water" tells the real-life story of Gabriel the Archangel Church in New Orleans, La., which was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and rebuilt through the volunteer efforts of its parish. The play shares the personal stories of several parishioners as well as the pastor, Fr. Doug Doussan, and his associate, Sr. Kathleen Pittman.

Founded twenty years ago, Still Point Theatre Collective is a community of Chicago artists who use theatre to educate, inspire and encourage active engagement in working for peace and social justice. The play was written by Still Point founding director Lisa Wagner-Carollo and Still Point associate Anita Dacanay. The creative team includes Virginia Smith as director and Holly Windingstad as designer.
