Michelle Flood, associate director of admission, international recruitment at St. Norbert College, will participate in the upcoming U.S. Commercial Service Education mission to the Philippines and Malaysia from October 23-30. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Commerce and in collaboration with the U.S. Department of State-supported EducationUSA network, the mission will provide St. Norbert College and 29 other institutions with opportunities to explore growing education markets and connect with prospective students and partners. St. Norbert College attracts top-quality students from the Philippines, Malaysia and other locations across the globe. By welcoming international students, encouraging U.S. students to study abroad, and partnering with higher-education institutions overseas, St. Norbert enhances the competitiveness of the U.S. educational system and connects future global leaders with the American people. Foreign students also have a positive economic impact on the United States: The education sector represents the fifth largest U.S. services export and added nearly $23 billion to the U.S. economy in 2011-12. For more information, contact Michelle Flood at michelle.flood@snc.edu or 920-403-4072.
